Feeling left high and dry?
It a sizzling hot summer in Europe this year with drought and dangerous wildfires abound. As a Solitary Witch, Wiccan or Magickal practitioner, we learn to become one with the elements and tune into nature. It is the basis of our practice. For centuries, witches have been accused of controlling nature and weather..is it true?
Find out for yourself! Try our Rainmaker spell and see.
Although in truth, Mother Nature can never be completely manipulated despite man's best attempts, we can call in for positive change and share it with the collective. Our subconscious creates our reality and helps shape the environment around us, including nature. We are connected symbiotically. So why not spell out a love letter to Mama Gaia for rain? For the good of all and harm to none, let it rain!
Here’s a spell weaving together sacred items and intention into a flowing rain-calling rite:
✦ Rain Maker Spell ✦

To Call the Waters and Quench the Earth
You will need:
1 Blue candle (for the sky and rain’s descent)
Turquoise stone (for balance, flow, and protection)
Blue crystal point (to direct and amplify intention)
Aquamarine stone (to call the waters, tides, and clouds)
Black tourmaline (to ground and balance the storm’s power)
Rain stick (blue and white, for summoning sound of rain)
A clear or blue glass bowl filled with pure water and mint leaves floating
Birch branches (symbols of renewal, life, and cleansing, a symbol of rain)
An image of the Thunderbird (Native spirit of storm and rain) or rain deity of choice. You can have fun drawing your own or download a template.
A small statue or image of Zeus (god of thunder, rain, and lightning)

The Ritual
Prepare your altar. Place the bowl of water at the center with mint leaves floating like green offerings.Surround it with the turquoise, aquamarine, and blue crystal point. Set the black tourmaline at the base, anchoring energy. Place the birch branches in a circle around the bowl. Set the Thunderbird image to the east, the Zeus statue to the west. Light the blue candle beside the water.
Sigil Crafting.
Write down the word WATER. Remove the vowels (A, E), leaving W T R.
Combine these letters into a flowing, spiral-like design.
Do the same for RAIN, removing the vowels, leaving R N.
Overlay these shapes into a single sigil—unique, fluid, and wave-like, get creative!
Dip your index finger into the bowl of water and trace the sigil gently on the surface, watching ripples spread.
Call the Storm. Hold the rain stick. Tilt and turn it slowly, letting its sound echo. Speak the incantation aloud in rhythm:
✦ Incantation ✦
"By leaf and stone, by sky and flame,
By mint, by branch, I call your name.
Thunderbird, spread your mighty wings,
Shake the heavens, let the waters sing.
Zeus, O lord of storm and sky,
Hear the earth’s unspoken cry.
Release the clouds, let rivers flow,
Quench the fire, let cool winds blow.
W T R — R N, traced by hand,Sigils ripple, bless the land.
Blue flame burning, waters rise,
Rain descend from heavy skies.
For the good of all, this prayer I send,
So mote it be, from start to end."

Close the Rite.
Let the candle burn safely until it extinguishes on its own, or snuff it respectfully.
Leave the bowl of water with mint outside under the sky as an offering.
Place the stones in the earth or a pot of dirt to draw the rain down.
Thank Zeus and the Thunderbird for their presence.
